Heading up towards Montrose in a few weeks. Wasnt able to get up and scout. I was wondering if anyone has heard of any other hunters having any success. Also, does anyone have any pointers for that area. We will be hunting the west side of the unit for deer and elk. TIA

Thanks Scott. We hunted a little further west around Dolores last time. Had some pretty good luck. 3 of 4 on deer. 4th guy would have cut a tag if we didn’t have to leave early due to emergency. Looking forward to the cooler weather and hiking!

I live near Dolores and it's been really dry. Had a storm a couple of weeks ago, but been warn & dry with little or no change for the next few weeks.
Hey CC. I talked with you a couple years ago before we went up for that hunt. 2018 was fairly dry also up there. We still had a great time and did fairly well I'd say. All 3 bucks killed were right along Disappointment creek. Sounds like water will definitely be the key again this year. Hope all is well.
