Colorado Elk

Had a great time this year in Colorado during the 3rd rifle season. We didnt draw deer tags but decided to go for only elk anyway. There was four in our party, three filled their tags with two bulls and a cow, nothing big but great eating! The fourth hunter had a long shot at a bull but missed. He also had to leave early, so I'm sure he would have had a second opportunity if he stayed the whole season. Over all we saw elk just about every day and some nice 4x4 bucks. "Hey Adam thanks again for packing out most of the meat for us old chubby guys, you are welcome to my camp fire anytime buddy..."

Nice job on the elk. I like to see guys from out of state come in and succeed. I know how expensive out of state hunting is as well as the hard work it takes. Enjoy the elk steaks.

Congrats guys, glad to be apart of the trip, had a good time. Even though I did ok, I think I'll train alittle harder next time to get in better "elk shape" lol. Nothing like a several hour 1am packout in below freezing temps! Can't we shoot them off the road next time? Don't forget to save a few elk steaks for me.
