Hello,

Was wondering if anyone would be willing to help with good areas to hunt bear during the September rifle season. I can trade info for elk and bear in unit 62 and front range unit 84 elk. I enjoy hunting new areas of the state. I have 2 preference points. Appreciate any help, thanks in advance.

I have found that people will let out a good area for a 400" bull elk before they let out much information for bears in Colorado.

Now, there are a lot of bears in the state and unit 62 is one of the good ones along with unit 61. Other than that just about any other unit holds good bears. Look to one where you can glass a lot of clear cuts and open meadows unit 44 and 444 have good populations of them but I don't know if they are any better than any other unit in the state.

Thanks for the info. I may just stick with unit 62. I may get in the points race for 61 and just hunt the Grand Mesa with a leftover tag. Thanks again.
