I am planning an Elk hunt and I'm trying to stay away from other hunters. I am cow hunting but I would like to hear some bugling as well. Interested in hunting raggeds wilderness. I like the area because from all trailheads it looks like a five mile hike into good elk country. I also like the Hermossa Creek wilderness area because it's full of dark timber. I think I would like to park on top of orphan butte. Any suggestions on the area?
