CO seeks input on season structure

I think we all agree some change is needed in CO season structure. Provide your feedback with link above. Or tell us what changes you think are needed? By how the question pattern is asked it sounds like they are looking at getting muzzy season out of archery.

I jumped in too. I wonder what their plan would be if CO were to move the muzzy hunt out of the archery hunt dates.

All they would have to do to change the ML to get it out of archery is to start archery a week earlier and then put the ML at the end of September.

But if they do that they could screw up some of my hunts.

As and archery/muzzleloader hunter I would gladly sacrifice the last week of archery season and not even bring archery in a week earlier just to have the opportunity get away from the muzzle-loader hunters.

Its more of a win for muzzleloader hunters, but not really. It would provide segregation which is what everyone wants for those overlapping seasons in the first place. People that enjoy hunting the last week of the current archery season are going to be mad. but youll never make everyone happy.
