CO Point Question

Scenario: A guy has 4 pts and his friend has 2 pts. Colorado uses the 2 pts (lower of the two persons) for the group in the drawing.

Does the guy with 4 pts lose all 4 pts or only 2pts, thus retaining the remaining 2 pts? My assumption is all is lost. I know every state is different, but could not find the clear answer on the Colorado methodology.

You lose all of your points if you draw. Colorado experimented with "point banking", where you could keep the excess points beyond what that tag took, but that is no longer in effect.
