Anyone got any advice for me ,? Should I wait till next year? The gunnison basin doesn"t sound the greatest. I have 8 points this year. I live in ohio so can't scout much. 4th season is so short, but know it can be good.
Co. mule deer 22,5,6,15: any one hunted these with 6-9 points? 3rd or 4th?

For most units, 4th season is preferable to 3rd, for higher success, better bucks and very few other hunters.
You should call the Gunnison office of CPW to check on expected winter kill. It is probably higher than normal.
For the units you listed, you may not be able to draw 4th season in 15 and 3rd takes no points. Unit 5 took 8 points last year, could take more this year if tag #s get cut. Same with 22 3rd season and 4th is out of reach.
I would favor unit 6 4th season, then unit 22 3rd season, then unit 15 3rd season.
That said, northcentral CO got a lot of snow, so just like Gunnison, check with the local biologist before you apply.
