Cheap digital camera

Anyone have a suggestion for a cheap, small digital camera to take with me in the field and while bow hunting? I do not need super fancy or professional quality pictures. Just something with a zoom, small and compact so I can fit it in my frontal hand warmer pack, doesn't take up much room, and is relatively durable. There are so many on Amazon for under 100 bucks but it is hard to really get an idea of dwhat will work or not.

I would need to be able to download to the computer. I have a larger and older Kodak easy share, but it is bulky and getting older. But I do have the wire hook ups and memory cards for the Kodak. I don't think Kodak makes new cameras.

Any info will be appreciated!

I would check out your local pawn shop. The ones around me are always loaded with cameras. You can pick up a 300 dollar digi cam there with 100 bucks. You can also compare the hookups to see if they work with your current cords.

Check out the Olympus "Tough". I got one off e-bay on a friends recommendation and am pleased with it. I have bought several cameras on e-bay and always go for the factory refurbished, they are usually brand new and come with a full factory warranty. the Olympus camera is waterproof to 3.3 meters and I have actually used it for underwater photos/videos in salt water and it has held up for several years. When it gives up the ghost I will probably get another of the same thing.

I have always had great luck with Canon. I recently bought a small Canon SX260HS with a 20X optical zoom, the new, upgraded sensor and image stabilization. I paid well over $200 for it but you can buy used from either eBay or Amazon for $200 anytime and there are always several bids going on eBay for $100-$150.

I know it's over your budget but maybe not so much if you catch it right on eBay and you'll have GREAT photos, small size, image stabilization, and fantastic zoom.

Plus, you never know when you might have a hunt you want to submit a story about and Eastmans' will not publish stories that have poor quality pictures.

The new story guidelines will be out shortly and they will specify no cell phone pictures, period. That's always been their policy, it's just that many people don't know it.

I have the Canon Powershot D10. It's waterproof, shockproof, and freeze proof. 12.1 megapixels. I can be pretty rough with it and take it to some pretty rough places. Plus it takes pretty good pics.

I have a Nikon cool pix 16 megapixel. I been real happy with it other then it wont charge with anything but the 110 adapter it came with
