CDFW refunding tag application fees

Due to the wild fire situation some LE tags are being refunded. Driven by the closer of all national forest lands in CA.

Whos returning their tags?

Thoughts?

I’m sure many will but I think I saw they were reopening the National Forests? Not completely sure on that.

Will probably depend on what area within the zone folks had plans. Of course some may cancel or go regardless. It'll be interesting.
Can you purchase a returned tag in CA?

I heard it was only for elk and antelope tags, but i could be wrong.

It does include some deer units. I know of a few X zone deer hunters who turned in their tags. Appernly those tags must be turned in by Oct 3.

What about sheep tag holders, who only get points back. Even at max points they may never draw again?

I heard the same thing today. About time CDF&W did something right for a change. Still doesn't make up for all their F'd up crap though.
