Got hit for what is likely my 2nd NR archery Kaibab deer tag in a row. Well at least I learned a lot last year and will definitely hit the ground runnin.

Still just as lost as ever! Archery elk/bear or second season rifle probly just can't decide. Will look at otc bear archery and possibly leftover tags. Do u know if there is ever any leftover bear rifle tags Hope to scout unit 78 in couple weeks when I'm Up ur way. What are ur plans?

OTC archery beginning opening season. I really need to scout some this month. I know some parts of 78 that might be worth a look for 2nd season rifle elk. Seems to me there are less hunters 2nd rifle than archery season. Also some neat hunting in 2nd rifle in 81. Nothing easy left that I know about. Lots of bear in 78, so I hear.

It has always seamed to me that Arizona hits them pretty quick and doesn't draw it on like a few other states do.

I know with Utah it'll drag on for a couple of weeks.

I'm usually in the 7% that don't draw.

I don't know what happened this year. For the unit that I got it usually take a non resident 7-8 points to get a tag.

I put in for units with some of the highest draw odds in az because I haven't drawn anything this year and

Picked the Kaibab because I got a unit 1 archery elk hunt which begins Sept. 15th. The Kaibab deer runs August 25th to Sept. 14th. So this will make for a sweet combo. I'm likely to spend the whole month of Sept+ in AZ.
