Wondering if anyone would recommend a good place to camp just northwest of Thermopolis. We will be chasing antelope and it is my wife?s first hunting trip in Wyoming. I would like to camp a few nights if it?s not too uncomfortable for her. A place to fish nearby would be great! Thanks!

There's some nice broken hills straight east of thermop, give you a better chance at getting out of the wind.

The free hot springs is handy if you are camping. Showers, bathroom, etc and 20 minutes of soak for nothing.

Closest place I have camped is west of Cody at BB State Park. Probably further than you want to drive.

There is the Fountain of Youth rv Park and campground just North of Thermopolis on Hwy 20. They have 3 thermal pools and showers. Heard there pretty nice to soak in.

I second the fountain of youth CG. I stayed there last year while hunting antelope and fishing on the Bighorn R. Real cheap if you tent camp and the pools age a real treat after a long day hunting. Great fishing on their property if the water is low enough to wade.
