Hello. Stumbled in from the Gritty Bowmen podcast repeatedly mentioning this forum. I have been hunting for about a total of 4 years now and in my short stint as a later in life hunter, I have managed to land some turkey, a few squirrels, a few dove, a quail or two and one deer. I had a major setback my second year deer hunting in which i was unable to locate a deer I am sure I struck in the liver with my bow from a tree stand but was flushed twice by a neighboring properties dog. Long story short, I was threatened by multiple people as to the legality of my very much legal hunt and after 5 hours of pure agony and harassment I was forced to give up. Fast forward two years and I am attempting rifle again. I have seen does but no bucks in my backyard this year but I have time left to sort it out. I am hoping to meet some like minded people in my area and hope to one day branch out to OTC hunts in the great states surrounding California. Not sure what else to say. Thanks.
