I have to be in the Tulare California area February 11th through the 16th for work. I will have some free time. Anyone have any recommendations on best ways to use said free time? Anything to hunt or decent fishing in the area? Any must see places reasonably close? Thanks in advance...kind of dreading the trip right now.

Tulare is in the Central Valley on the east side where the High Sierras start. Most of the hog hunting is done in the costal range west of there. My suggestion would be call or go to a local gun shop and ask about hog hunting. Almost all of it is done on private ranches and is outfitter guided.

I think fishing is looking like the best option. I have found some information on the web but would love to hear from anyone in that area.

lived in atwater as a kid for a couple years, which is not to far north of there.

my recollection of the place is ,there ain't nothing there worth visiting.
couldn't get out of that state fast enough and ain't nothing ever gonna get me to go back.
