Deer points zeroed out this year for me on my X zone. Looks like I can hunt eastern sierras this year for a buck!

Still playing the elk, sheep and antelope game though and adding for another no go this year.

Hey guys I'm new here. Just had a couple questions. First when can you start applying for these zones again in california? And has anyone had any luck with D14? Hunted there last year and it was a huge disappointment.

June 2nd is the deadline to apply for a premium deer tag in California. There are still many over the counter tags available that can be bought now.

Probably a dumb question, can a non-resident hunt Tule Elk?
Yes to my knowledge you can. The lottery way, buying a out of state hunting license and a buying point elk tag point chance. And or paying for a land owner tag, $10k-$14k+ and they are hard to come by. Odds are pretty low getting a tag in the lottery process but there is a chance. Tule elk are only in CA and there are not all that many as compared to other states elk population. So it's possible to hunt them but even harder to get the tag.

Welcome to the forum. On this forum A few others and I have been hunting d14 for a long time now, it's a tough zone with low Success. The key to success is tons of scouting and time in the mountains. Even then is still a tough hunt. Good luck
