California Deer Hunters

I've been a California deer hunter all my life. And, have been fortunate to take some huge deer here. The last being a 4x4 with a 29" outside spread, Fish & Game said it was the largest deer they've seen come out of the area I was in. They are here, believe me. But, you have to work for them.

This year, I'll be archery hunting in A-18 (X9c). I'm looking forward to it and the challenge.

I put in for a few premium zones and didn't get drawn so since I live in Fresno area I'm going to hit D7 for some backcountry hunting hopefully if I can put a trip together in my head for something that would be good. Gonna try and get up to the high granite basins up in the Sierras, I have a bunch of time off so gonna be scouting alot. The other tag I'm gonna get is a B zone tag and hit up a membership ranch.
