cabela's military discount

I was just made aware today from a Cabela's customer service rep that the Military discount is only valid on in store purchases. As per the service rep it changed when Bass pro took over. I wonder when they will decide to do away with it altogether?

I'm anti all these specialized discounts, but that's just my opinion.

either give everyone the discount or no one.

teachers, cops, military,

why don't we give doctors, lawyers, engineers, etc.. discounts? exactly.

I don't mind an elderly discount as it applies to EVERYONE over 65yo etc...

Really with mail order how are they going to verify it?

With the amount of abuse of any and all discounts I can understand them not honoring it when you order on line.

Lots of places online make you verify you are a vet and that's fine. If they want to make you setup an account in store and take a dd214 to verify even ok.
And most doctors and lawyers didn't get their ass shot at for 20k is what they don't get a 10% discount. Well I know a couple lawyers that served and guess what?? Ya they get the same vet discount. The rest of the discounts, if ya want to argue then maybe but 10% to vets is not gonna make or break any company.
