Hmmm I had 3 pair of those, kept taking them back because they leaked. Super comfy boot, but after 3 months or so they all leaked. No but I have a pair of their "Air Active Day Hikers" and have put a lot of miles on them. At first I wondered about them but they are holding up better than a lot of light weight hiking boots out there. The type that I have are no longer stocked but they have a similar type in the catalog.
I'm going on 5 years with my Pronghorns. Like them pretty well. Great value IMHO.Ivory: I got a pair of Danner Pronghorn on sale for $160.00 (down from $220).
So far I've been impressed with the way they are made, look and feel. I'm still breaking them in.
An FYI, any cabelas brand boot is guaranteed for life.im looking for some boots but don't want to spend more than $300, preferably from cabelas so I can use a gift card. I tried out under armors new boot last year the brow tines, they were comfy but that's about all I liked. im wanting an all leather boot, im walking through tall wet grass every morning in my elk spot in September.
I've had the 453 for about a year and a half and they still feel like new. I'd buy them again without a doubt.thanks guys, ive been looking at the 453 all leather and pronghorns.
Inside tag says leather upper, rubber bottom, and there gore Tex.you have the leather hiker or Gore-Tex hiker?
Glad you found some that work for you.i checked out a bunch of diff today, the 453 and all the Danners I tried on just don't feel right to me. I ended up with some 7 inch meindls perfekt boots, unins. they fit snug and felt good.
