Remember one thing, the ban on lions was a ballot initiative and was passed by voters. Not defending F & G, just sayin............

Fish & Game does not make any laws. They are an enforcement body. The laws were either made by the legislature, or placed on the ballot by initiative.

We worked like dogs and spent a lot of money to sink that referendum. All it took was one actress with a mountain lion on a leash to get it passed!

The pneumonia outbreak in Kelso Old Dads was very bad. It was the main herd they used for transplants to other areas. They estimated the herd was around 400 animals before the die off. They estimate over half the animal died. Not only that, but the remaining animals are now carriers and cannot be transplanted for fear of spreading the disease.
I've heard that they cross from one mountain range to another so the outbreak may affect all the surrounding zones as well.
