Not only can I not buy anything without it being junk. I cant even get it given to me without it being junk.

Brand new. Right out of the box. One of the barrels looks 12" high and to the right.

Makes me re-think buying those Leopold high power binos and spotting scope.

This is the second pair of Leupold truck binos that I have had to return.

All a guy can do is laugh.

The McKenzie model.

I sent them back in yesterday (Cost me 10$ to ship them) Hopefully they just send me a new pair.

I have a lot and I mean a LOT of Leopold scopes. Never had a problem with any of them. So I guess I will just chalk this up to my crappy luck and move forward. I'm just going to use these for "Truck beaters" anyhow.

I wish I would have just gotten a gift card so I could have put the money towards those 15X56 SLC binos that I cant stop looking at...

So..............as an update to this. I still have not received my binoculars back from Leopold. To say I am disappointed in their customer service is a bit of an understatement at this point.

Bummer. When I sent some stuff in it was at least a 2 months turn around for binos and around 3 months for a scope.

i'll bet they show up any day now. month and a half seems slow but it is way faster then most companies move.

they are probably swamped , I know it's hard to be patient but they may yet surprise you.

Just got my 15x56 in the mail from Cabelas. Every once in a while ebay will have a seller who sells cabela's gift cards for 18-20% off. I loaded up on them and got myself a pair for about 20% off the $2300 price. Sweet binoculars for sure!!! The lens caps are garbage however. The objective lens caps keep falling off just by handling them in the house and the other lens cap is bulky and made of a hard plastic.

Have you called them to find out what is going on? Did you provide a email address and or a phone number for them to contact you with?

I have had two experiences with Leopold customer service. The first on was when I sent in a pair of 20 year old binoculars. I received a new pair about a month after sending in the old ones. The other was with a scope that I wanted some work done on. They sent me a email when they receive it and a phone call a few days later following up my credit card information. The scope was back to me a week later.

Called them yesterday.

I provided them my cell phone # when I turned in the binos.

They are sending me a replacement pair.

I'm having a hard time answering that without sounding negative.

If you want my honest answer.

YES I am pleased they are sending me a new pair.

NO I am not happy about their turn around time on resolving this issue with these binoculars.

I will add that I had some issues with some lower scope rings recently and they turned those around in record time and the guy on the phone was very nice.

I would imagine thats because the scope/rings and the binos are handled in two different places. Scope/rings made in US and clearly the binos are made in china or some foreign country.

Not cheerleading for Vortex but if you have a repair with them its a turn around time of a week. ( I know because I had to send BRAND NEW binos back to them as well...twice acutally..basically for the same exact issue) I dont see why Leupold should be any different. I can understand a couple weeks.

I guess it doesn't really matter because its the off season anyhow. But what if it wasn't?
