Where is the best place to buy used equipment. Packs and any other gear needed for back country.

I have had good success thru a couple of forums in their classified sections. I have done deals on Archery Talk and Rokslide.

Craigs list and ebay are always worth a try. Army surplus stores are good too. Some of the army stuff is pretty good for the price.

Sierra Trading Post - sierratradingpost.com (add the www), it's all overstocks, seconds, etc. If you've ever been to a Ross, etc, it's like that for camping/hunting/outdoors stuff.

Sign up for their e-mails and watch for them, they have 40% - 80% off sales that last a couple of days.

Wherever you find it! Type whatever you're looking for into the Google search bar and add "for sale forum" at the end. Even if you just find old postings, you can use this as a way of learning the going second hand rate of the items you're in the market for.
