Went out and killed 2 last night. I sprayed some Ortho insecticide on a web behind a shed last week and the next morning the black widow was laying dead on the ground, then I noticed hundreds of dead baby spiders on the wall above it. Guess I got that one just in time.

we need to shut this thread down, spiders are evil! they creep me out more than rattle snakes! I always put a scattered hay bell under a tarp for my bedding in the big tent at base camp. this one year the bale broke in the barn the night before so the next morning I just stuffed it under the tool box in back of truck, didn't wanna waist a bale. got to set up camp, made my bedding and got that big wall tent real home like. well, a bunch of hobo spiders mustve made that broken b ale their home inside the barn because when I came in to tent and turned on lantern, hobos were running all over the place!!!!! I slept in truck that night, yuck!
