Browning won't turn on. Put fresh batteries in and set time and date before leaving home. Got it all set up and it won't turn on. This thing has had little use, although this would have been the third season of use. I have an older Moultrie and it's out there now. Calling Browning customer services tomorrow, not really expecting any "service" out of them, but who knows...Anyone have any experience with this cam?

Thanks for the info. However, since I cannot turn mine on, I cannot check to see if it needs an upgrade or not. My numbers match the ones in question, but I need to power up to get the software number that is installed in my camera. Hope Browning has some answers tomorrow but I'm not holding my breath.

Well, I contacted Browning customer service and the rep. is convinced it is a battery issue. I had a set of Energizers in that registered 99% . These are the ones that were in it and I was able to power up and set time and date. After the failure, I put in a set of Panasonic batteries, new. He said the Panasonic just don't have enough power. So tomorrow I will try the Energizer Lithium, which he recommended. Don't see how this could be a battery issue, but am giving them the benefit of the doubt for now. I'll post results, keep your fingers crossed but don't hold your breath.....BB

I have 4 of those. I think they are the elite version (2015). 3 of mine are great but the 4th is hit and miss. It seems like every company has a few issues but these get the most consistently good reviews. The 2017 version have been getting GREAT reviews almost as good as Reconyx at 3 times the price.

Well, I am impressed. Bought a set of Energizer Lithium batteries and it fired right up. The tech told me to take out the card before installing the batteries, then turn it on and it should light up and say "no memory card". It did. I then installed the card and was able to set time/date etc. Will set it out on Tues. and see how it works. The guy said these cams really need a good set of batteries and it looks like he was right. I had bran new Panasonic batteries in and it wouldn't even turn on. Seems to me like it's a little touchy but oh well, at least it works. Moultrie just seems to work not matter what it has inside.
