First feel free to blast I hate rookies asking for help who are basically hunting blind but I'll ask here in hopes for more constructive results opposed to other sites. I don't want any spots or directions.

All I really want to know is this area is huge and it's a short season is it worth it to try and scout a few days ahead of the opener in hopes of locating something to go after opening day in hopes of getting there first? It's my understanding that this can be a very crowded hunt. Or should I plan to show up Sunday afternoon and hopefully most hunters will be local weekend warriors.

It's my first time hunting deer in this area I was hoping to piggyback it with an area 7 tag in Nevada but no such luck.

If you can swing the time off, it is definitely worth the trip. It is a huge unit, with a lot of private and a lot of nonproductive areas. The public lands of Park valley and Grouse creek are a great place to start and then narrow from there. You are correct on the numbers. Lots of roads and lots of people.

Pm sent hch

I can swing the time but I'm still wanting to manage it as best as I can. If Saturday's opener is a zoo but Monday a morgue I'll likely wait and pull in Sunday afternoon and hunt during the week. But like I said no experience with Utah general and the crowding
