Looks to have a purpose but I don't like the idea of making a hole in my pack to install it.

yeah, that's the only downside I see to it but the convenience of it makes up for it for me. I hate strapping bow to the pack making it impossible for fast access to it for those rare occasions.

If I had my bow mounted like that on my pack it would get caught on something, rip my pack and rip the bow out of there and smash my sight.

Its just my luck. I want my bow in my hand at all times. If it isn't in my hand it is on the ground with the string up leaning against my leg.

I could never use that in the places I hunt elk.

If you hunt in the open then I could see its practicality.

Those early morning pre light hikes up the mountain bow in hand serves no purpose. I see what you are saying though. Bow is always in hand while activley hunting. But from point a to point b on a game trail or while stalking in closer this will come in handy i think. Was hoping someone on here has one and would share what they like or dislike.

Definitely an interesting idea. I too do not want to make a hole in my pack. I do not have a problem placing it in my Kuiu pack for those early morning hikes in so I will continue on that route. When actively hunting I have carried in hand as well as used a Primos bow sling.
