The Under Armor Ridge Reaper boots. I was skeptical because they are so light, but they are incredibly comfortable. I got them for dirt cheap and so far so good, only thing is side hilling in the badlands there isn't as much ankle stability as I'd like but can't have it all I guess. This is until I can afford some Kenetrek extremes.

I have been wearing the Asolo TPS 520 GV hiking boots for all of my deer and elk hunting. I often hike into remote areas with unknown obstacles, and will carry out ultra heavy packs loaded with game back over said obstacles. I wear only the most rigid, protective boots, as they are literally my best insurance against a lower extremity injury. I will wear light low-top hiking shoes for scouting trips and small game hunting, but the risks aren't nearly as great there.
