Hey everyone, I wanting to hear what kind of boot leather treatment everybody uses. I'm breaking in some new boots. I've always used Snowseal, but I'm thinking about trying something new. My new boots have a Gore-tex liner, so I don't necessarily need a "waterproofing" treatment. Thanks for the input!

I prefer the oil but have used both. I try not to let my boots get to the point that they need a bunch of oil but occasionally like getting very wet i like the paste but he oil will still do. Just do a heavy coat and by the next morning. Bang... They looking good :)

Obenaufs Heavy Duty LP. Got some Meindl / Cabela's boots this past fall. Put the Heavy Duty LP on them and used them deer hunting hear in La to break them in. You can walk through anything (mud, water, sand, etc) then hose off your boots and they look like they have never left the pavement. I have about 10 to 15 miles on them and they look brand new.

try heating your boots up (oven for a few minutes on lowest heat setting) and applying treatment while leather is warm, provides quality absorption of product.
