Obviously everyone's feet are different. As I grow older padding seems to be my #1 objective for insoles. I buy quality boots (Lowa, Scarpa, Hanwags, etc) and throw the insoles that come with them in the garbage. They just don't have the desired padding for me. The insole I currently use has lots of padding and only costs around $30 at Sportsman's Warehouse. They are called polysorb by Spenco. I've tried a variety of superfeet and others and they just don't have enough padding for my particular feet. Before spending a chunk of $ on more expensive inserts you may want to try a pair of Spencos? Which ever inserts you use I would make a point of changing them out every year or 2...they wear over time!

I just looked up the polysorb's by Spenco. They actually look pretty good. I might give a set a try since it is about time to replace my insoles.

I just got in a set of Spenco's and some Thorlos hiking socks to try. Going to try them out on the next hike. Will report back. Mark
