Hey all, I was curious how many of you read the various blogs and/or watch YouTube videos that are out there surrounding hunting or fishing and various topics associated with them (general info, experiences in the field, fitness, etc.).

if you don't, I am curious why? If you do, what is it that you are looking for in a blog? What keeps you reading it or following someone on YouTube? Any and all insight everyone on the forum can contribute would be great. Thanks in advance for sharing your honest opinions.

I subscribe to 1 podcast and they are also on YouTube and that's The Gritty Bowmen. I like their topics even tho I'm not a bow hunter I like to hear their hunting stories and their perspective on hunting.

I subscribe to one podcast, that of Randy Newberg. I like his podcasts because they are informative and always well done. I will only watch a hunting related youtube video if someone recommends them. Many I see have some kind of horrible angry heavy metal playing in the background. They are typically horribly filmed, horrible story lines, and have shameless product placement.

I am kindof with buckbull. I would watch more if I didn't have to sift through the junky ones. I will check out the ones mentioned. Eastmans blogs have been really good. I like those. More professional and readable.

I don't watch or listen to podcasts unless someone reccomends them to me. I prefer to read so I tend to gravitate to books and magazines

I do not follow any blogs or podcasts. Just really have never been turned on to anything worth it. But at the same time I don't do Facebook, twitter or any of that other stuff. Really just don't want to get bogged down with more junk. I know someone will say "yea but your on here". My answer is yes and that's because it's a good forum with good people that believe and feel the same way I do, for the most part. Guess this is my blog/Facebook/myspace/twitter.

A blog would have to be recommended by someone I know and/or respect, or be of the type and quality of the Eastmans' blog, which is the only one I have followed. I will occasionally look at one I see talked about and rarely go back to it. The only exception is if I am searching for a topic I want to know more about, then I will read a blog about it or watch a few u-tube videos. Those are usually more technical topics, rifle barrels, best twist for a build, best what ever, and a one and done look for me.

Recently I wanted to know how to install a rear sight on an AK, googled it, looked at two U-tube videos, read a couple forum topics about it, only watched one video to the end, and installed the sight. I'm probably more old school than most and like Matt, this is the only forum where I am active, for the same reasons.

I don't have any social media profiles accept a few forums. I like listening to randy Newberg and Steven rinellas podcasts. I enjoy both of their styles, delivery, topics, and general character.
