I have been setting up my wife's bow with a Black Gold sight I have and the chrono is telling me I need a 257 fps sight tape for it. Problem is the sight tapes I have don't go less than 267 fps.

I called Black Gold sights, but they want $18 for a sight tape kit.

Anyone want to part with there 257 fps area of there sight tape?

Make sure you shoot the bow at a bunch of yardages before you settle on a certain tape. I used the speed and the you tube video of how to select the right tape and still had to switch it out for accuracy. You might even consider downloading a free one from the internet and just taping it on the sight.

Something to keep in mind is that those speeds on the sight tape are based on a particular mounting distance away from your eye for the speeds to be accurate. I got a new BG sight this summer and when I went to figure out the sight tape the fps on the tape didn't match at all. I just used a piece of paper and marked where I was sighted in at 20 & 60 yds and used a pair of calipers to lock in that distance and then went through the sight tapes to find one that matched.

That's what I did with a HHA sight and mine is accurate

I tried that method as well and still wasn't accurate. Ended up marking the actual distances on the tape at 60, 70, 80, 90 and then picking the tape that matched those the closest. The fps is faster than marked on the tape, but worked for me once I had them marked down.

I got some tapes that go from 244 to 265. PM me your address and I'll put them in the mail to you.

Good luck -
