Bighorn camping trip

Anybody out there up for a camping trip in the big horns somewhere this summer? Maybe if anyone drew a tag and wanted to do some scouting, I never drew a tag for elk or deer but plan on hunting unit 39 in 2015 hopefully. But I would just love to go do some backpacking. I haven't done a lot of it but enjoy camping and want to spend more time in the mountains. Plus I'm going to alaska in sept so would also like to try out some of my gear and see if I need to make any changes. I live in sd and would be a little bit of a travel for me but thought it would be fun to meet up with some new people and enjoy what we love doing.

I guess for dates it don't matter to me, what ever works for everyone. Maybe think of a good time and shoot for it and see if it will work fora few guys.

I dont think i can make it this year but I'll keep it in mind. I do want to explore the bighorns!

I might be in. Lots of new gear (tent, bag, pad, bow) this year that needs to be tested. Could go when there is a 3D shoot in the Big Horns, not sure when that is (never been to it).

Gillette had a 3-D shoot today I think. We missed it because I couldn't get motivated to get my dang reports done yesterday, plus I have been dinking off on here a lot. oops. I am not sure how appropriate it is to give phone numbers out, but the Pronghorn Archery Club guy would probably know when they have a 3-D shoot in the Big Horns. http://pronghornarchery.homestead.com/, you can look up his info here I think. I am sure there is a club in Buffalo or Sheridan, but I didn't find that.

I am headed to Yellowstone in Aug, I always drive through the Big Horns on my way. I will be there around Aug 22nd, so I will stop by for a day or 2 for sure if you guys plan to go forward with it. Would love to scout the Eastern slope a bit more.

This may turn into an Eastman's rally. Maybe become an annual event? Wish I could make it... I have to save my time for that great elk tag I drew.
