In case anyone was curious, WGFD just posted my bear's tooth age. That big ol sucker was 12.3 years old! Just an ancient old guy.

Oh man, spring bear and turkey are almost upon us (that is, if winter ever subsides).
I'm heading to NW Montana in May for bear and maybe some turkey close to home in Wyoming.
Anyone else have big plans?

If I don’t draw anything I’ll buy OTC bear and deer in Ca this year.

Those are some good looking bears!
I got my age card back from my Spring 2022 bear the other day. He came back at 13 years old.
Now I'm looking forward to getting the age back on my fall 2022 bear. He was a much bigger bear (one of my biggest), but that doesn't always mean older. Always fun to guess!
My oldest so far has been 15 or 16. I'll have to look up the card, but I think 15.
Anyway, I agree bear hunting is addictive!

Do you know the difference between bear nuts and deer nuts, though?

I think the skull was 22.5" It is high in the records for a PA bear, know that.

This is my 2022 fall bear that I'm looking forward to getting the age card back on. I'd guess he is at least 10+
This old bald face guy I shot during the Spring 2022 hunt came back at 13 years old.

. Good table fare here also!I have a bunch more pics of bears and have the age cards for most of them, which is kind of cool.
