Big Bear Lake Carp Round-up

Big Bear Lake is having a Carp round-up on June 22-23 you can go to www.bbmwd.org to sign up for the competition. Should be lots of fun and great practice for you archery folks.

Sounds like fun, maybe next year I'll be set up for it. I heard for bow fishing you should have a 30-40# bow.... for big game, mine is 74#s.

Hardstalk, have you read the fishing report lately, as far as trout go's,they have been doing ok early morning but it's been getting hot quick. hopefully it gets better for you this weekend.

Our yearly trip was typically mothers day weekend. Now mothers day has a new meaning around our abode and wife isnt a fan of fishing that day... We typically troll with spoons and have never really had bad success. Hopefully the few week set back doesnt kill us.

It was a little cooler around then. You prob won't need a jacket this weekend. I was up there grabbing trail cam SD cards on memorial day.....Nice mountain weather, but a little warm. Tons of people still fishing!

Cabin doesn't have a/c and were bringing a handfull of kiddos. Hopefully its not too warm! Hows the hunting up there? Ive only fished but have cabin access year around.

I don't think many do have ac. Not really a need for it. You'll have a great time, I love it up there. There is some nice bucks taken every year but over all there is a low success rate. Check out the D14 thread in the California section, there's some success pics of bucks taken.
