I'm not looking to hunt in central WY. Like I said I'm looking for areas by Laramie which is southern WY. Of the areas near Laramie 37, 38, 42, 43, 44, 45, 46, 48 & 50 only area 48 is seeing a reduction in buck tags this year so I just thought it curious that you recommend 48 as a first choice for residents hunting that area. Since I've never hunted any of the units in the Laramie area I can only go by what I see on the WG&F website and what others comments are. If you feel this area is better than the others near Laramie I'd be interested in hearing why as I have absolutely no hunting experience down that way.
The areas surrounding Laramie are marginal for antelope. This is just my experience regarding trophy potential and public access. They are popular for nonresidents. 48 would be on the top end of the areas you listed.

This^^^^^^^^. I have seen some great bucks near Laramie, but all of them have been on private land, and the access sucks.

If you're not an eastmans subscriber, sign up and you can download/view the online digital copies online of the WY antelope units etc...

find some chunks of public land and have at it.

btw a 75" antelope looks pretty big to me on the wall! of course I want an 80 or 82"+

good luck, have a blast! pun intended! haha. if your 1st time hunting a unit consider going a day or 2 early, also consider 3+ days of hunting especially with multiple hunters and if you really want to take a nice buck. I regret not having allowed another day on an antelope hunt we did in WY years ago, go skunked but should have killed nice bucks, came back 2-3yrs later and made up for it though!
