Best Custom Hunting Knife

Hello All. My wife and I are getting ready for our 11th anniversary and I noticed the traditional gift for the 11th anniversary is steel. What an opportunity! I wanted to point her towards somewhere to get a new custom hunting knife. The internet is filled with custom knife makers. But does anyone here have a favorite? Any recommendations for a new custom hunting knife would be appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Back in the 80's I had a custom knife made by Mark Wahlster from Silverton, Or. The knife has been used extensively for over 30 years and still looks new. I googled Mark and found he is no longer making knives, but are really valuable. I paid less than $100.00 for it.
The knife is 7 1/2" long with a 3.5" blade with a gut hook. I wanted a small knife and it has done the job well.

I saw some of his knives that were priced at $1,000.00. A good, custom knife is well worth what you have to pay for it. Looks like I am going to take real good care of this one!!!

I have two Ruana knives and really like them. I have the Steelhead model and the 5AD model. Both are great! Neat story on these knives too and I believe they have a short video that is cool to watch.

I like my Eastman's outdoor edge,you never have to sharpen it and it's easy to find being orange

Good advice from everyone. I ended up going with the Benchmade Saddle Mountain Skinner.

If you like a Kephart blade design this one looks pretty cool. Much fancier and pricier than a good 1095 knife needs to be, but that's part of what you buy with a custom.
