You could look at 220 swift. Flat and fast. Good for distance. You have to be a reloader to shoot this gun as ammo is few and far in between. Plus if you do find it prepare to pay. I love my swift.
I have a .220 Ackley Improved Swift. It will shoot over 4000fps, but at that speed it just explodes when it hits something. When I want penetration I go up in bullet weight (60 to 70 grs) and slow it down to less than 3500. I definitely do not use HP or BT bullets as they are made to explode. I use a normal spitzer type of bullet....I do like Sierra 63 gr spritzers (Game Kings).
