The majority of the drawing results in Alaska were posted yesterday, I got lots of calls from friends that got permits. My family and I got a total of....0! :( Oh well, we have plenty of general season opportunities to take advantage of. I sure would like to draw a muskox tag some year though...maybe next year!:)

My wife and I each drew a drawing caribou (Nelchina), my daughter drew the same tag as my wife, mine is just to the east of theirs. Ought to be a fun hunt, we'll do the CCUA again.

Good draws, congratulations. That Nelchina herd is in really good shape. I look forward to seeing photos of some nice bulls from your hunts!

Yeah, thanks. I hope to post some photos of my own later this year. My son is chomping at the bit for a brown bear this spring, I'll try to make happen and of course a moose this fall.

Boss,

I wish I had some to show you...I had a lousy season. The biggest issue was having to fuss with the FAA over my medical certificate. I lost the whole season of flying having to prove that my heart is healthy; it is.

I did make a moose hunt and called 3 nice bulls within range and we never got to shoot any of them. One was the day before we could shoot, one the day after the season closed and one in heavy cover that wouldn't come out! I'm still hoping to make a late season hunt in early December, we'll have to see what the weather does. It is quite a ways from here and a long flight by supercub.
I'll post photos if it works out.
