How long will vacuumed sealed cooked bacon last when not refrigerated? I see that bacon in the store that is pre cooked and it doesn't have to be refrigerated until opened. Thanks

Someone on another forum posted that a friend of theirs ate a bacon bagel sandwich after a month. So you've got quite awhile. Between the fat and curing salts there's very little chance for spoilage. I am also curious just how long it would last too. I doubt I will ever save it long enough to find out though.

They are good but to be honest I have not touched one since my last elk hunt two years ago. A week of them everyday is enough to last for several years :)

I know it will last over a week. I sealed mine then froze it until a few days before my hunt. I was gone a week for the hunt and never got sick eating t that week.

I wouldn't want to find out that I just ate a package of pre-cooked bacon ONE day after it went bad. The results can't be good especially up in the mountains.

Glad to see you are following the governments advice on nutrition during your hunt. Also known as the food pyramid.
