AZ 22 South

I finally drew my first bull tag in AZ. It is for the 22S late rifle hunt. I have been scouting 5 or 6 times now within the last two months without much success finding many elk or sign. I saw some cows last week out off FR414 near Doll Baby Ranch and some sign off Trail 37 and FR 893. I didn't get in that area as far as I wanted because the steep and rocky road was washed out pretty good in one area.

Anyone have any pointers of areas that I should be looking for this late hunt? Not looking for a monster elk, just want to get on them.

Hello my daughter has a unit 22 JR tag on the 8th and we have been looking for some areas to go as well. We normally hunt above the rim but are happy to have a tag. Would you say there was a decent amount of cows in that group? If we head that way and see something i would be happy to report back to you.
