Anyone else watch axmen? It sure seems to be getting like all other shows, a little to scripted. Was wondering if anyone knows the Rygaards that hunt in Washington or live there? Maybe should have posted this in the Washington area, but just starting something to talk about, anyways just saw the one where Oakes logging came in and cut their tail tree. Boy would I be beyond pissed. Must have been to put on a show. Sure could have killed someone, what do you guys think?

They're buffoons.
If they weren't getting paid by the network, they'd all be broke.
If it wasn't scripted, 90% of them would have gotten their asses kicked and sent to town on the next truck.

My feelings exactly, WB! I logged in NW Oregon from the mid to late 60's and never once saw antics like the Axmen clowns perform, nor would it have been tolerated. Even though I didn't stay with logging and all those I worked with at the time have long passed on, they were the finest men I ever worked with in my entire life.

My father has been a timber faller for over 38 years and he cannot watch the show because he says it makes him sick seeing all of the bad safety practices that they are showing he says that most would be fired but a lot would die because of what they do.

I spent quite some time working back country in a gold mine. A big one at that. We broke road, fell trees, drilled, hauled rock, just about as dangerous as it can get, and the worst brawl I ever saw was at the bar and was mild compared to the daily attitudes these guys toss about like its life. Aholes like that or guys that came into work who thought they needed to win the yardstick rodeo to fit in were soon crying their way home to mama. There were plenty of tudes to deal with everyday, but they never were like that.

Stopped watching after second season. Way to scripted for me. Just like most now a days. After the second season it's all down hill. Duck Dynasty, gold rush, baring sea gold, bar rescue it just keeps going and going.
