Good afternoon everyone,

In writing the Arizona Elk & Antelope MRS I reported the incorrect online application deadline. The correct deadline is February 13th, 2018 @ 11:59 PM MST.

My apologies for providing the incorrect information and any headaches this may have caused.

I've attached the link to the AZGFD website's application page and the corrected MRS table.

Thank you for your understanding and best of luck in the draws.

Incorrect info is why I let my subscriptions go...I know its tough, but when paying for a service I do expect a certain level of accuracy.

Some tables have as many as 3000 cells and an entire state can have 20000 bits of info. An error in an MRS that size is 99.99% accuracy. That said, some errors are more significant than others and a deadline falls in that category. But because absolute perfection is not possible, dates and tag numbers can be changed, sometimes the brochure comes out too close to the deadline for us to have final #s, and other issues, you have got to check the official source and Eastmans' always tells readers that.

As I see it, Eastmans' does a terrific job of pulling together and organizing vast amounts of information it would take readers a tremendous amount of time to do on their own, and that convenience is a lot of the value we add. Ratings, commentary and passing on info collected from biologists, outfitters, and other people the writers talk to adds more value. I write the Colorado MRS and it takes me two months to do it and subscribers pay the cost of two movie tickets for all that information times 11 states. But to be the official, infallible source for everything is not something Eastmans' claims.

That is my own view as an MRS writer, not an official statement of the company or the Eastmans.
