I have got my story all typed up and I guess I got kind of long winded. Trying to submit it, I found out that posts had to be less than 100,000 characters but my story is 270,000 characters. I can submit it as 3 or 4 posts. My question is how do I post the first 1/4 of my story without losing the rest of it? I have it auto saved in the oyher elk story thread. It took me a few days to get it all typed up and don't want to have to do it again. Hopefully it will be worth it
The story for the contest should be kept small enough for one post. If you win then your complete story will be submitted for the magazine.

I second that and would go just to go even if I did not have a tag. I just love to hunt and be there!! Good folks those Eastman's gang!!

This thread is for the ring give away. So elk story's only and is not tied to the other thread contest that is elk , deer, antelope.
You can post your story's and photos on both threads for Elk but if you win the ring you can not win the other contest and vise versa.

Thanks Ikic for the help in posting my story. Forum members, I know it may be a pain in the butt ,if you click on the link in the above post and sign up, you should be able to read the story. Sorry it got a little long but should be worth it.
The pictures are missing from the story but I will attach them to this post.

I will agree with the long winded part BKC, but great story and bull! I would guess the bull that got away was hit in a horn?
