Arizona elk hunts

Are there tags that a outfitter has that can be transfered to a hunter ? I have been told that a outfitter contacted someone and booked a hunt with them for early season bull elk, rifle hunt. I thought all tags had to be drawn in Arizona. This hunt is to be in the Heber area.

Yeah that is what i said but he claims it is near Heber in Arizona.

Not sure about it, but are landowner tags available in Az? Looked it up...NO!

I've only heard of Heber in UT. So, maybe UT on a CWMU hunt? Just a guess of course .

Heber AZ is almost right in the middle between Show Low and Payson. Fantastic elk country.

I saw a picture of the bull he shot but don't know where it was killed. I wonder if it may have been in Limited Opportunity unit. I see unit 2A and 2B have seasons in September.

I guess that doen't matter since you have to draw those tags.

Good luck finding elk on them oppurtunity hunts unless you know someone that lives there, or you can spend a month for a rag horn ...................BOB

These are all from 2A or B. You just have to do a lot of looking around.
They are there but no very many. Two years ago when my brother had a cow tag we saw more bulls than cows,
