arisaka .308

.308 Caliber, Arisaka Type 38 do any of you guys know much about these guns? any info would be great, I might pick up a few for resale, I just don't know much about them. cant find a whole heck of a lot online. $200 for good condition a good price?

without knowing more info , (japanese vs chinese, year ect,ect...) it sounds like a good deal.

is it .308 or maybe7.62x51 cartridge?

I recall some testing saying they are very strong actions. To make them in 308 some work must have been done. I'd be surprised if there was a good market to resell them, unless in original form to collectors.

its an auction, it doesn't say the year, im pretty sure its Japanese. bolt action 22" barrel. it is sporterized, im assuming the .308 barrel was added to the original action and stock

A friend of my Dad's had an Arisaka that was chambered for .257 Imp Roberts. It was rebarreled and was a great hunting rifle. Shot a lot of deer with it.

Yes the action was Japanese from a WW2 surplus rifle.
