Area 74

I've gone scouting the last couple weekend in 74 and the goats look great and there are lots of little ones running around... With alot being twins, so the concern for me was the early spring storms hurting the young... Lots of 75" range goats out there... There is a lot of water holes all over that have been dry in the past... It's been dry so water holes might be a good option for archery and if no moisture later in the season... Aug 15 can't come soon enough... Good luck to those lucky enough to draw...

Here is a few goats from our area... Tough to get any good pictures...A lot of the goats wouldn't let me close enough for my little camera... The one by the tank is on TJ's ranch, the others are in that first area I told you about... Good luck to ya!!!

I was just in 74 yesterday....out to Castle Gardens and around the area between it and
Hwy 20/26. LOTS of Oil & Gas activity around there...the Goats were on a dead run as soon
as they spotted the vehicle. Possibly indicating oil patch worker harassment. Don't know why
they would be so spooky otherwise. Some of the bucks were pretty nice though...I had my
spotting scope along. I did spot some water holes that had good water in them.
