Hi guys. I'm new here on the forum and also newbie Wyoming antelope hunter. My wife and I live in Calgary but from Quebec city so sorry about my written English. We put in the draw choices 78, 7 and 18 in the same priority order. we have no priority points. We should have good chance to get drawn in area 7 or if not in the 18. I know in those 2 area we have a bit of public acces on the Thunder Bassin Grassland. We're going to have a family trip to Yellowstone this summer so we'll take the opportunity to make some scouting at the same time in the beautiful Wyoming. We'll be camping with a 28 ft trailer. and we can bring the quad if we can use it.
Wondering if some one of you guys have any information, tips or help for my wife and I.
Thanks in advance.
Eric.

You can use your quad as long as you stay on designated roads and purchase an ORV tag($15). I don't know much about 78 and 18, but I do hunt area 7 quite a bit. If you are going to be in area 7 there is quite a bit of public land in the southern part of the unit, there is also large sections of walk-in-areas in others parts of the unit. If you do scout this area in the summer you really can't scout the walk-in-areas because they are only really open during the season. Also you cannot camp in the walk-in-areas, but if you wanted to somewhat scout the areas there are plenty of county roads you can drive down and maybe do a little glassing. The public lands you can camp on and scout them anytime of the year but expect to see a lot more cattle than antelope in the summer. Also feel free to shoot coyotes while you are there, there are a lot of them and it is legal to shoot them without a licence.

With no points you won't draw 78 you should draw 7. I hunted 7 last year no big bucks but you'll have fun. 7 got hit hard by last years winter but there's still antelope there.
