Are you a backpack hunter?

I love the backpack hunts, and do a better job of getting away from other hunters than actually finding more game while doing so. I always want to go over the next crest, but have to force myself to stop once I get to where I can pack a critter out in a day. I'll generally stick with the early rifle season in WY, or the MZL season in CO, so I am less likely to be buried in a snowstorm.

Since the late 80s I have pretty much backpack bowhunted for two week intervals out west. If I have too I make one trip back to the truck after the first week to get some food. I just really like going out and getting away from everything. I have hunted a few places out west and 90% to this day still have no cell service. Every animal I have taken out west has been packed out on my back.

I'm with 25C on this one. However, I can usually only get away for 5-6 days. My employer just can't live without me. :)
