Anyone heard of Newcon optik?

Anybody own a newcon optik rangefinder? They seem to be extremely price competitive compared their counterparts.

A co-worker of mine bought the 1500 and I got a chance to mess around with it. I was pretty impressed for a $300 rangefinder on how well it did. I got it to range 1004 yards quickly on a large building. The glass wasn't as good compared to my Leica 1000 but I'm still thinking on purchasing their 2200si. I'm just curious to see if anyone else has any thoughts on their products. There a Canadian company.

Reviews I've seen have been pretty good, though they are not full reviews, just the kind you read by buyers.

One said the reticle is black, which doesn't seem the best for low light and another said it makes a sound when you range. It may not be loud enough to spook at rifle range distance but might at archery distance.
