Thinking about getting either a Ravin R10 or 10 pt Venom X cross bow for next year. Can’t shoot my compound bow anymore due to bad right shoulder. Just opens the door for more opportunities here w/the month long elk archery season. thx TD

I have a Ravin R10, have had it for 3 years. I have not killed anything with it, but my son killed a 6x6 elk in Wyoming and my daughter has killed a whitetail buck with it each of the last 3 years. I am not an expert when it comes to crossbows, but I really like the R10. Incredibly accurate, easy to cock and uncock. I have played with it in the yard quite a bit, the scope that came with it has been 100% accurate out to 80 yards which is as far as I have shot it. When it comes to hunting, I've always limited the shots to 50 yards because even the slightest cross wind can move that arrow quite a bit. I don't have any complaints with it.
