I don't have to travel to the high country...I live in it.

I've seen a total of about 15-20 elk in the last two weeks and well over 20 deer, all within a mile or two of my house.

With all the snow we have around here the non plowed passes will pry open after the 4th of July this year. Also a lot of the stream crossings will be washed out until about then. It snowed about a week ago. The high country still has 20+ feet of snowpack in many places..

Anyway to keep the family unit intact I don's start hitting it too hard until about July 1 lol.. I also find around here anyway that is just about as early as the guys return for the summer anyway.

Great pics and this is the time of the year I sure start chompin at the bit and want to get out.

This was last week in Logan Canyon (northern Utah). The roof to the left of the snowmobile is in the parking lot at a popular campground. It'll be a while before we're in the high country.

If I hear one more person say, "We need the water," I'll probably go postal on them.
