I use a 60# Martin "Damon Howatt" Hunter bow. Are there any of us left out there any more? I sure like that bow. It shoots great, has no shock, and is just a really nice bow. What recurve or longbow do you guys use?

I shoot both a longbow and a compound. I have a 62" 56# pronghorn longbow built by Herb Meland. Its a great bow! Very smooth and no hand shock.

I hunt with both a compound and my recurve depending on the species. I've been trying to take a coyote with my recrve here lately.......tough buggers to bring in close and arrow. My recurve is a custom Brackenbury made by Jim before he passed. Beautiful piece of art.

I shoot only traditional, 60lb at 29"- 64" Bob Lee Signature Recurve. I have eased up a bit in the past few years and now use carbon arrows instead of pine.

I have used a Recurve for 20 years. Have had several brands. But the Bighorn I found fits me will. Harvest several big game animals with it. I shot lift handed! It's 65 at 29" started to use carbon back in the mid 90's. Liked the additional speed.

Custom 62" T/D Mountain Hunter Longbow by Mark Horne, Horne's Archery, 59@28" with matching recurve limbs; 60" T/D Classic recurve, 60@28", by Mike Palmer, Palmer Archery. Kinda partial to the longbow......sweetest bow I've ever shot.

I've got a black widow I bought last year to start getting into it. Plan on making it my "go to" bow after a couple years. Still trying to get comfortable shooting it and get the right arrows for it.

I shoot mostly traditional, I have a small collection of vintage Bear bows. I have at least one representative of each model that was cataloged in 1958. I have added a couple more since this picture was taken, I think I'm up to 9 or 10 total now.

Sweet collection BobT. I'll have to try to get a pic of my grandpas Bear Kodiak Special that he gave me. He just passed this Monday so I think I'm going to have to get it back out to shoot again soon. It is a great bow.

Thanks! I love the old Bear bows, when I started my collection I also got into arrow making and string making. I'm sorry for your loss, I wish I had a few more things from my grandfathers, the few things I do have I really cherish!

Hey I am pretty new to this Tradional thing. I bought a new Bear Grizzly #55 @ 28".

I have shot it every day for three months and while it seems to shoot well and i'm getting better. I am already thinking about upgradeing to a Dalaa ( hope I spelled that right) any thoughts on these bows. I have a friend that loves his.

Big investment for me in this downturn economy.
